Please note that we no longer supply controllers. Various
controllers are available in the marketplace that are priced better than
we can supply them for.
The Germinator should be placed on a good supporting
surface. In the illustration, 2” x 6” planking is being used, then 2”
Styrofoam. This is an excellent base. The Styrofoam is not necessary. The
planking is quite sufficient.
The units are normally a plug-in unit at 120 volts, 130
watts. Various controllers are available in the industry. The unit shown
is called a Heat Mat Thermostat. It is good for 1000 watts or eight (8)
Germinator heat mats. They are available on the internet.
Note: The sensor MUST
be taped to the top of the Germinator. The warranty is null and void if
the sensor is placed in the soil or placed elsewhere. The placing of the
sensor is very important.
